That’s me. I took up running for the first time at age 32 in the fall of 2006, but was pretty out of shape and it didn’t stick. Could have had something to do with an Ontario winter looming around the corner too. Started taking it seriously again in the spring of 2007, and bargained with my wife for my first decent pair of running shoes by racking up ten final runs with my tired, old, heavy tennis shoes. Since then I’ve been pushing myself to improve and occasionally testing myself with competitive racing. This blog is surely a further symptom of the illness, but with any luck it will also become a means of interacting with other like-minded individuals and sharing our tales from the road.
